sorry it took me so long to update.
ive just been so busy working, its hard to find the time to...ah screw it, the truth is myspace is just to damn addicting! but dont worry livejournal, i havent [completely] forgotten about you!
here are some of those pictures ive been talking about posting. they are all from the same roll, taken with my 35mm Nikon N65 (all with my super wide angle lens) and then cross processed for extra fun. (aka, not photoshopped.)
ok, this was day numero uno in my new home! =) ....
now lets see if i still remember how to do a lj-cut.....

what a great show...they sounded incredible and they were so much fun to dance to. especially when you are dancing next to someone who is wearing a football on their head. hah. =)
i brought my crappy little point-and-shoot digital with me and i snapped a few pictures. i thought they came out kinda cool & since it has been forever since ive updated this thing with some pictures, i figured why not.
so here are a few from the show...plus some of my ridiculously awesome (or just ridiculous...you choose) makeup. I also did lauren and angeline's makeup and they both looked mega awesome. i love MAC ;)

ok, i was finally able to pick up my New York pictures from Wolf before they closed today...
and i love them! =) =) its been so long since i had film developed, i forgot how awesome the "surprise" of seeing your prints for the first time is. especially when you take pictures of skylines and they come out green. so glad i got these cross processed.
THESE ARE NOT PHOTOSHOPPED. these are straight from the CD wolf made me, just resized.
I am going to post almost the whole roll...Please let me know if you like them, and if so, which ones you like best. I would like to get one or two enlarged for my portfolio and i want everyone's opinion. so please comment if you can. THANKS =)

so here are some pictures i meant to put up here forever ago.
the first "99X Downtown Rocks" show was so much fun (despite the rain). i loved Stereophonics, and i did not expect the lead singer to be so young (and not to mention gorgeous). the scratchy voice threw me way (and i mean WAY) off. it was a pleasant surprise. =)
Cake, on the other hand, was not so pleasant. its not that they sounded bad, but the stage presence factor was in the negative. i mean i know its CAKE, but still. Picture a bearded guy in a hat covering half his face standing in front of a microphone, holding a cow bell-type instrument, and moving his arms as if he were directing an airplane that just landed on the runway. not amusing. which equals, crappy photographs. sorry cake, but no photos of you.
on the other hand, i do think i got some great photos of all the other bands that played. Trances Arc, The Caesars, and of course, Stereophonics. And as always, feedback is greatly appreciated. =)

since i will be in NYC next week, i was wondering if anyone could let me know of some good places to go/shop/eat/see/etc. also, i will be by myself for a couple of the days i will be there, and i am planning on just having my 35mm camera and trying to take some cool photographs of things/people. i took some ( tourist-y photographs... )
the last time was there, so if anyone knows of anything else photograph-worthy let me know as well =)
falcon, i know you are photography-worthy haha. if you want to set something up ill totally do it. just let me know.
also, if anyone knows what the best film to use for cross-processing (frankie?) im thinking about trying that again while im there.

Second Shift, Y-O-U and Modern Skirts at the Loft 6/30.
all the bands were incredibly awesome. Second Shift will be opening for a little band called WEEZER for the 99X Downtown Rocks concert this Saturday. how cool is that?? and whats even cooler is that its F-R-E-E. free weezer concert?! heck yes!! so all you ATLians make sure you get there early so you can catch second shift rocking out along with the dead 60's, and the bravery.

oh and last night, angeline took me to the first of the downtown rocks concert series and got to see Trances Arc, The Caesars, STEREOPHONICS (omg), and cake.

totally awesome girl. beautiful voice. and hello, best name ever. ;)

LIT TRAGEDY - PARENTS INVOLVED IN FATAL MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT
June 7, 2005 – Los Angeles, CA - A. Jay & Jeremy Popoff of the Orange County rock band Lit received terrible news this past weekend. Their mother, Sheri Suglia, and their step-father Kerry Suglia, were travelling on the Ortega Highway following an afternoon visit with A. Jay, Jeremy and their children when their motorcycle was struck by a drunk driver in an SUV. Kerry Suglia was killed on impact and Sheri is in extremely critical condition with massive multiple injuries. A memorial fund has been established:

so today i was supposed to be doing another modeling shoot with a girl from work...nothing fancy... her agency just wanted some updated shots of her against a white background, and asked me to do them. but, of course, something came up and we had to reschedule. blah. it was hard enough to get a day where we both werent working, but now that i am starting a new job, i cant imagine when ill be able to do it. asdfghjkl. hopefully ill be able to find the time because i really need/want the practice.
well, since i now had the whole entire day to myself, i ended up going to the mall to try and find my little sister a birthday present. well, it turned out that they were having this antique car show in the parking lot. awesommmeee. i love cars. and what was even awesomer, was the fact i had my little nikon coolpix cam with me. now i know its no D2H, but at least i was able to take pictures of something today!! i decided i would put up a few here, as its been quite awhile since ive posted pictures...hope you like.

i snapped some pictures of my friend merideth @ the mindless self indulgence show @ the masquerade last night....the band was playing upstairs in what they called "heaven" and we shot these downstairs in (this is going to be a shocker...) "hell". yes, very original, i know. they had this giant blue and red neon budweiser sign on the wall that created a cool ambiance and i was curious to see how it would look on film..err...the digital LCD screen. well you know what i mean.
anyways, even though merideth thinks she looks weird in them..or something, i think she looks gorgeous and i like how they came out. sooo anyways, i thought i would share them here...

I FINALLY GOT TO SEE MUSE.
it was beyond amazing. matt bellamy's voice is flawless.
i didnt have a photopass which was torture because the lighting was INSANE. i loved it. but i was able to bring in my cheap little digital and get some shots from my spot on the 1st balcony, which couldnt have been a more perfect place to watch a show like that. to my surprise, they played a lot of older songs which was awesome. i swear when they played bliss, i almost cried. that song brings back memories. i wish they played this song though [feeling good] i cant even imagine how incredible it would be live. anyways, im so in awe of them.
now i just need placebo to come tour here and i will be a very satisfied girl. or travis. or both.

i dont know how some of these photographers do it. i mean, some of these images just tear your heart out. i cant imagine actually seeing that first hand, let alone photographing it. wow. makes me really want to be a photojournalist though.

first off i just have to say that butch walker has the nicest people working for him. and when i say that, i am totally referring to billy.
anyways, here are a few pics from the show on sunday. because i already had a zillion pictures of butch, when he came on i moved to the side to just enjoy the show. so most of the pics are of Val Emmich and American Hi-Fi.
The Social is pretty much all back-lit, so it was really hard to take pictures without flash. and i seriously need to read the instruction manual on that thing. =X
anyways, they arent the best, but here they are...=)

oh and i turn 21 in like 12 hours, how cool is that. ill finally be legit!
rockabillys tomorrow, butch on sunday. i think this might actually be a good birthday.
